The secret of a long and happy marriage

If you're in the process of planning your wedding I'm sure Valentine's Day will be a good excuse to forget table plans, bridesmaids' frocks and wedding cars for an evening. Every couple needs time out from wedding planning to remember the reasons they're getting married in the first place!

However, if you would like to spend the most romantic day of the year learning about making your marriage last you could do worse than log into Twitter and follow @longestmarried.

Herbert and Zelmyra Fisher, at 102 and 104 years old respectively, married in 1924 and hold the record for being the world's longest married couple. You have until February 12th to tweet your questions to them and they will pick 14 to answer via Twitter on the 14th.

The happy couple cite watching passing trains, counting cars and talking to their neighbours as the common interests that keep them together. Ah, the simple things!
