I feel very lucky to have worked with many wonderful couples and it is a true privilege to play a part in their wedding day. Here's what some of them have to say about their experience of a Humanist ceremony.

Our wedding wouldn't have been half the day it was without Juliet's freely given help, advice and fantastic, characterful delivery on the day. Everyone is still speaking about how well the words that Juliet, Emma and I all spoke fit both the occasion and the two of us and we wouldn't have been able to do it without Juliet's kind advice and attention to detail.

Being able to really put our personality into the ceremony, especially our vows, was brilliant. I don't think either of us really anticipated just how much we would enjoy the whole experience. We just wanted to send you a little note to thank you again for performing our ceremony at Comlongon Castle last Wednesday. You did the ceremony so well and were also very accommodating with the overseas bit and we know we brought some new challenges to the table with us being from the States but you handled it all with a calm grace and helped to calm our own jittery nerves.

Well we would like start by saying a massive Thank You. The ceremony was perfect and exactly as we had imagined it. The atmosphere was upbeat and fun. We were so pleased to have the opportunity to write our own ceremony and vows which really meant something to us both. Everyone commented on how lovely the ceremony was and a few even said it was the best wedding ceremony they had ever been to, including their own! I think the thing that stuck with us both was how much fun we had, not a nerve in sight.

Our wedding at the Craigiebield House Hotel, Penicuik was truly wonderful. Juliet was very thorough in helping us plan the ceremony and, on the day, conducted the proceedings very professionally. Our guests were full of compliments and some of them said they'd like a wedding just like ours. We would certainly recommend Juliet to anyone considering a Humanist ceremony.

We decided on a Humanist wedding as it perfectly reflected our beliefs and sense of values. There was also the major benefit that we could make the ceremony more meaningful to us by having it at a location that meant something to both of us. As we met whilst at Edinburgh University, we originally chose an outdoor ceremony in George Square Gardens. However, due to very heavy rain this was changed at the last minute to The Counting House, our back up indoor location which also meant something to us. We found that despite the last minute change, Juliet was supportive and flexible and even came prepared with rain jacket and wellies! We also loved that we could customise the ceremony to suit our circumstances and preferences and we felt that Juliet was incredibly helpful in that whole process. We were able to write our own vows and choose readings and music that reflected our feelings for each other. Also importantly, we were able to have a naming ceremony for our two wee boys incorporated into the day. All the elements of the ceremony came together for a truly memorable day.
